FAQs

SECTION 1: About Wolf Whiskers and where to start?

Can you tell me more about Wolf Whiskers?

Wolf Whiskers is a solely owned and operated hobby/micro business model by me, Peter Wolf, making custom made shaving brushes since 2013 and shipping them Worldwide.  I am the only person involved with Wolf Whiskers from conception to birth.  I hand cast most of my turning materials.  I hand turn 100% of my brush handles on a lathe, (no automation or computers involved).  I even hand assemble and package each brush. I am the only person with whom you would ever communicate, and I answer all correspondence within the same day, often within the same hour.  I even create and edit 100% of the website development.  95% of the Wolf Whiskers shaving brush handles you see were made to order, custom requested brushes attained through a "Waitlist" process.

Why do you even have a "Waitlist" and why not just keep the list open?

See our live Waitlist

Waiting is frustrating. I only am able to make about 5-7 brushes (average) per month. I am currently working a full time day job away from home, so time is severely limited in my shop. For information about my Waitlist availability, visit the Waitlist link on my website.  Any and all custom ordered brushes go through my waitlist process. I can only offer one brush per person/signup. I can not offer more than one brush ordered per signup. See the section below named, “How many brushes can I order after signing up on the waitlist?”

Where do I start?  How do I get one of the Wolf Whiskers shaving brushes?

Ordering custom designed items can be a daunting task, but it doesn't need to be.  I am 100% approachable everyday, even holidays, and I always reply to correspondence.  My goal is to be approachable  and take the sting out of the process if I am able to.  It is my passion.  The best way to get started is to read this information that lays out the process  "Custom Ordering Process."  This link is on the top and bottom of every page.  It will fully explain the lottery to get on my waitlist.

SECTION 2: PRICING AND PAYING

What is the prices for your shaving brushes?

The fully explained and best answer is found on the Price link found on the menu. Artisan bespoke items can be complicated for pricing.

When and How do I pay?

I am fairly unique and prepayment is rarely requested.  A PayPal or Square invoice is sent after the handle is turned and pictures sent.  Other arrangements may be requested ahead of time.

SECTION 3: PROCESS AND AVAILABILITY

Do you have any brushes currently made in stock?

The short answer is no.  If I ever make a handle, it is sold immediately the same day to the person who ordered it, or on my website. Maggard Razors will sometimes receive a small order for which they post on their website.

How many brushes can I order after signing up on the waitlist?

One brush per signed up name. I can not offer multiple orders at a time. I just have a very limited available shop time, so it just isn’t possible despite wishing that it was possible.

SECTION 4: ABOUT MY CUSTOM CONFIGURATION PROCESS

Do you do custom color requests?

Yes, but keep in mind, mixing some colors can be problematic. Either they don’t blend well or sometimes, they mix to become a muddy color when they go through the exothermic reaction.

Colors are divided into only 3 Primary colors: Pure Red, Pure Blue, and Pure yellow.  Similarly, there are only 3 Secondary colors which are Orange, purple and green.  Then after that only 6 Tertiary colors. Yes, only 6. (Magenta, Vermillion, Violet, Teal, Amber, and Chartreuse) Now when you consider tone, shades, and tint to create variations of those 12 colors, creating a multitude of hues, and it all get so confusing.  Now add the "CMYK" color models that a printer uses, and "RGB" color models that a computer and TV monitor uses, your head might start spinning.
Why do I mention this? Our human brain can easily conceive of colors we see and can combine those colors into an imaginary compilation that is pleasing, but that does not always transition to the real World mixing of those colors that undergo exothermic reactions. That reaction is nothing like placing colors next to each other on a paint palette. Scientists and artists spend countless hours developing formulas for colors for tinting paint to get them just right.  Today, computers are then used with those formulas to tint paint, but no such thing exists for casting polyester resin.  The exothermic reaction that occurs adds some complication to the end result. That reaction can exceed 190 degrees F.  Simply put, not all primary colors will work with all secondary colors.  For example, red rarely mixes in harmony with green, and blue rarely mixes in harmony with orange --- both mixtures often result in a slightly brown color.  Have you ever wondered why your local home supply store has tinted paint for sale at a discount? Even computers don’t do this perfectly.

If your head is spinning after reading this, that is exactly my intent.  But to the initial question, the answer is yes, as much as it might be possible, I will do a custom color request.  However,  you MUST be flexible on quantity of each color, hues, tones, tint and shade before you consider a custom color combination.  Over the years, I have created color combinations that I feel are pleasing and most often come together with positive results.  And again add the subtle differences in communication, photography, photographic editing and enhancements, human eyesight, lighting, and computer monitors, it nearly makes it impossible to match a color combination that you might be envisioning in your "mind's eye."
I also only entertain up a maximum of 3 colors swirled together.  2 to 3 colors work best, in my opinion.  In a rare occasion, 4 colors will combine well depending on how they fall on the color wheel. (Primary/secondary or Tertiary colors) Some colors do not blend well and occasionally one will overtake or dominate the other colors.  Your best bet is to inquire with me.  I will provide you with answers to the best of my experience. A single change in any of my proven formulas will alter the overall appearance, sometime drastically as those colors combine. Be aware of this should you desire me to alter the recipe significantly. This is why I call those alterations a custom color combination. (CCC)

For a semi-translucent bottom (clear base with resin dribbled into the clear), I will only add two individual colors with the clear. Not to be confused with a color theme as a single color. Just two other colors of resin total. The reason for this is simple, anymore than those two, and the resin mix is no longer semi-translucent. It is now mostly opaque, defeating the whole purpose of the affect of adding the colors swirled into the clear base.

What does a Custom Color Combination cost (CCC)?

Typically a $4-$18USD additional fee to your brush will be added for Custom Color Castings (CCC). You may wonder why there is such a range for this up-charge. I assure you that it is a very modest and unpretentious variable up-charge based on many factors. Some of those factors include, but are not limited to, the additional casting time, the size of the handle blank, number of tiers (layers), complexity of the casting, additional quantity of resin and wasted resin involved in the trial and errors of color matching the more unique color requests, and other consumables supplies. This is very different than using one of my named color themes on the order form.  The named color themes are proven, popular, and fairly consistently reproduced in larger casting batches keeping the price consistent and much lower since it saves time, resin, and consumable materials.

Can you do multiple tiers?

If you like the color stacking, tiering, two tone look or three tiers, you will notice with many of those brushes that there is often some color bleeding from one layer to the next layer.  This is due to the exothermic reaction that occurs during casting one layer upon another layer.  Casting the layers together is better than any glue on the market and it ensure 100% permanent adhesion.  However, the exothermic reaction also draws colors from one layer to the next layer in very subtle amounts.  Unlike some vintage handles where the two parts come apart, it will not come apart when they are cast together.  I cannot avoid this, so if bleeding might displease you, please avoid ordering anything with a stacked layering.  I simply haven't found a way to avoid this yet. I will only stack 3 tiers maximum for custom castings.

What about translucent (see thru) colors?

I will only do Translucent or clear resin on the bottoms of the brush handles, but not the top near the knot.  It simply gets ugly on the top where the knot enters the handle.  The interior of that socket hole is scored up with drill marks and then the glue adds additional displeasing appearances.  Also please note, translucent resin sometimes traps tiny imperfections such as tiny particle debris, tiny bubbles or dye pigments "dots."  These dots, particles or tiny trapped bubbles rarely, if ever, become larger than the tip a thumbtack.  If there are more than 3 dots, I don't even show you the pictures and that triggers a remake before you even see the handle.   It is the exception that this happens excessively, but there are always some that you will see if you blow up the photo images or use a magnifying glass.  Anything that is excessive will be redone by me so if I make a brush and send you pictures, I have considered it acceptable.  But, if this might be unattractive to you, it would be most advisable to choose an opaque color theme that hides these characteristics. These tiny dots will almost always show up in translucent red, blue, and green.

Those semi-translucent bottoms with colors dribbled into the clear base typically will not show much light thru the resin without a back-light or being held up to the light.  The semi-translucent is designed to be semi-translucent and not have large pockets of clear showing.  Polyester Resin is impossible to fully predict with any certainty to place it exactly where one may want the resin to be.  It disperses somewhat during the exothermic reaction. Many of the images, that you see in my galleries or on the forums, are taken with a flashlight shining light thru the bottom portion of the handle to show the semi-translucent nature.

Can you make me one of your Inside Out style brushes?

I no longer take requests for Inside out glass series.  I sometimes make them as Limited Edition brush and only sell them as flash sales on my website store.  It’s been about 4 years since I made those for custom requests.

Will you do a custom cast handle using slanted layering?

In the past, I had eliminated slanted layers as an option for custom cast handles, but as of July 2020, I decided to add this option to my lineup. You will understand why I had eliminated the option as you read this. I do need to let you know, upfront, that there are still some pitfalls that occur very often. Because I cannot cast slanted layers with pressure applied to the resin, it is very likely that some trapped minuscule air bubbles will be trapped in the casting. They show up as tiny white dots in a finished handle. Also, some bleed over of color from one layer to the next layer is likely and completely unavoidable. This is complicated as to why, but it usually will occur to some level. Also, the more layers requested, the more likely that I will not match all of the colors exactly as you might have imagined all of them in your mind’s eye. If you understand and accept all of these concerns and can move forward with a slanted layered casting. I do have to charge more for these custom castings. (CCC+$15-20) at a minimum. I will entertain up to 6 layers in this style. I can do more layers than the normal 3 tiers since these slanted layers do not need to align with any physical shape attributes of any particular handle. They are “freestyle layering, so to speak.

Can you get items like challenge coins or small coins to put on the bottom of my brush?

Ethically, Wolf Whiskers has chosen not to procure trademarked items to put on the handles.  For obvious reasons if I sold a brush with a Trademarked golf marker coin for an NFL team for example, potential lawsuits could certainly be possible.  Customers may send an item that they own if it fits.   Max size for a medallion/coin is around 24mm in diameter for most handle shapes.  Larger coins may be placed on some handles like the Beehive or Chubby or PJ or PJ2.  Any brush using a Franchise product. can never be sold as a franchise item.

But, I do not embed anything inside my handles. I chose to stop this practice when I have damaged items of sentimental value and I have not had much luck with embedding anyway.

Can I take one of your handle designs and change the shape to make it unique?

It is really a case by case consideration.

What if I don't really like the brush you made for me?

If you see the proof images and just are not “feeling” it and would rather pass, cancel, or have me try again, I am more than happy to do that.  However, a couple caveats, I will only try to make the same particular handle design or custom cast color one additional attempt for a total of two attempts for a custom designed handle.  If I am unable to provide a handle that looks great to you, I simply won’t be able to make it.  However, so that you don’t get dropped off my “radar,” I will happily make a handle using one of my many named shapes and named color themes in lieu of a custom casting or custom shape for the third attempt. If the third brush just isn't right for you, it would be best for you to find a craftsman or artisan that can make it for you. Please know that any turned down product is property of Wolf Whiskers and is offered to a different party for purchase. I do not allow the ordering customer to make the purchase or to offer any compensation or to have any intellectual rights to the handle design. The rejected brush design will fully be the property of Wolf Whiskers to do with it as desired. See the section below named “Why can’t I purchase the brush I previously turned down/rejected” for a full explanation.

Please be understanding and accepting of some variation and some flaws, see the below section on casting anomalies.

Casting anomalies that are unavoidable and should be expected.

I consider imperfections to give character and uniqueness for the brush handle. Also any “flaw” or differences are like a fingerprint for your brush handle and also should be a reminder that yours is artisan made, not made by a machine. It is also a humbling opportunity for both of us to be accepting and understanding of something we all share…….an imperfect humanity.

Some reasonable expectation for inherent differences and casting anomalies should always be expected. There will ALWAYS be differences in each casting. Color hues will vary. Concentrations of a particular color will dominate more in some castings. And these anomalies must be expected from both me and the customer. It is impossible for me to duplicate something perfectly. Two ongoing and unavoidable casting anomalies are tiny concentrated color dots or tiny white dots from a trapped bubble. For example, there are a few castings that nearly always have tiny dots of concentrated dye that are about the size of a pin head to the size of a pencil dot. If you should desire any of the the following requests, please know it is extremely likely that you will see some of those dots: “Butterscotch,” especially a darker version, “Green Milkglass,” or anything with a translucent red, blue, or green. The darker the pigment, the more likely this will occur because it requires more of the liquid dye pigment. I theorize that a tiny amount of dye re-combines during the exothermic reaction to leave a dot remaining. If there are more than 3 tiny dots, or large dots, I don’t even show you the handle and just make a second one with my fingers crossed. If you should have a strong aversion toward these type of anomalies, please choose a different named color theme. I can provide images of those dots should you desire to see examples before you make a decision. I consider imperfections to give character, uniqueness for the brush handle and also a flaw always reminds me of my humanity as well.

Still, you may not like the handle I have made, that is ok, but I do kindly ask that you choose something else that won’t result in the same issue on my second attempt for you.

Why can't I purchase the brush I previously turned down/rejected?

My goal is to provide my best talent and to maintain complete fairness to everyone who wants to order from me. In order to continue being fair, I created my waitlist and need to keep that list moving. I also have very transparent and reasonable policies. If, for any reason, you just don't like the brush I made for you, I don't take any offense, however, I will only offer the “turned down” brushes for sale to the general public. I will not hold it for the commissioning customer for any reason, no matter how customized and unique it may be for the customer. Why would I do that, you ask? It is simple, I cannot offer every customer multiple alternate handles so that they can choose their favorite brush/handle out of those handles made. I do expect each customer to have a reasonable acceptance of variations. Variation is the inherent nature of custom artisanal work. I never show a customer a brush handle that I feel is completely unworthy of our time or hard earned money. However, I do need to keep my waitlist moving forward to remain viable. Credit for a design may be offered to a customer, i.e. named accordingly to give credit to the ordering customer. However, no customer maintains any intellectual ownership to any designed handle that they have creatively designed and Wolf Whiskers maintains the all right to recuperate the value of time and materials spent while making any products.

Do you embed objects inside your handles?

I no longer do any particular objects embedded in resin for custom orders, but would be happy to ask around and help you find another brush artisan willing to do that. Anything added to polyester resin may complicate how the turning blank sets and cures as well.  Such items as fillers, glitters, flakes, foils and other items may not result with the same visual affects that you may have in your "mind's eye" or what you may have seen in online images. Also remember, alternative casting techniques and/or casting media may have been used that is unknown to me.  Some added particulates may cling, sink or float or clump. It is simply impossible to know all the characteristics of the many media products available from the thousands of sources.  Most images found online may look or seem simple, but in fact, those created turning blanks were created by artisans who spent many hours, many trials, and many errors to earn their proverbial trophy of success. Unless, I have used a particular item in the past, there are just too many unknowns to give an answer of certainty on how it "might" look in the end or if it will even turn out.

SECTION 5: KNOTS - INCLUDING THOSE YOU PROVIDE

Do you use Synthetic knots as well?

Yes, Wolf Whiskers has several synthetic options both from TGN and and several imported directly from the manufacturers.  I also have 24mm and 25mm "Black Wolf" bulb and fan knots, 25mm Timberwolf fan and bulb knots, Motherload, several Synthetic knots from Maggard Razors and also my "Super Plush" line.

Can you remove a knot for me and put it into one of your handles?

Case by case.  Contact me about details.  Some knots are just not reusable or fall apart upon removal from the socket hole.   I do not salvage the handle if I remove a knot.  I have not yet discovered a viable method to salvage both the knot and the handle.

Is Wolf Whiskers a knotting service or knot removing service?

No, I am a brush handle artisan. Neither of those services are offered. But Reyes.restores@gmail.com is a great source for a knot removal.

What knots do you use?

Primarily The Golden Nib (TGN) and some synthetics that I procured.  I have many Maggard Razors badger and synthetic knots. I have also sent brush handles to knotting services at your request, but the purchase of those services are outside of what I offer.  If you are concerned about your knot shedding at all, please send me your favorite knot supplier that you trust.  You are always welcome to send me your favorite knot if I am able to use it.

Can you make me just the handle for a knot?

Yes. I will need to know the diameter of the socket hole and depth you desire. The particular size of knot doesn’t really matter or help me. I ask you to understand that each knot has characteristics different from others, the variance can be extremely different even amongst knots rated the same size or even supplied by the same vendor.   It is often necessary for you to have a few shop tools for minor adjustments, like a Dremel (rotary tool), drill press and Forstner bits for example.  Wolf Whiskers will not guarantee that your knot will fit inside the WW handle, but will prepare a handle per your request.   All I need is the diameter (in millimeters) of the hole you want and the depth.

Can I ship you my own brush knot and have you make a brush with it?

Yes,  Wolf Whiskers can set most knots available with some exceptions.  Please inquire. This is easier to ensure the right size socket hole is drilled and the handle is made with the right size proportions.

Can I just have a knot manufacturer send a knot directly to Wolf Whiskers?

I will set the knot that I receive from you, but know there are some discrepancies on knot characteristics from one vendor to another even amongst the same grades of knots.  Because if this, it is very strongly encouraged, but not necessary, for you to take delivery first so that you become familiar with the knot you are ordering.

Can I just buy a knot directly from you?

The Golden NibEnvy Shave, Maggards, Declaration Brushworks, and AP Shave are great sources for shaving brush knots.  Wolf Whiskers does not market shaving brush knots themselves. I am a brush handle artisan needing these knots.

Will you procure knots for me and use them for a requested shaving brush?

At this time, I only procure animal hair knots from American vendors of badger hair knots due to significant fees for a commercial entities governed by the Fish and Wildlife Service.

I'm concerned about shedding with the knots you carry?

That’s can be a valid concern. Some knots do shed more than others, but there are tens of thousands of hairs in every brush knot. Many knots have over a hundred thousand hairs.  Although it is annoying, it is more common than you would think even with the expensive brushes. It is normal after the manufacturing process to get some shedding.  Care and use can affect shedding too.  Care instructions are provided with your brush.  If you are concerned with shedding from knots I carry, please buy your favorite knot and I will set it for you.  I can not guarantee a knot will not shed for you.  Please, if you are concerned, purchase your own knot and arrange to ship it to me.

How much to have WW replace a knot?

This is something I simply do not know how to do. “Reyes Restores” offers this service.

Can you make a handle and send it directly to a knotting service or another vendor for me?

Yes, I can do this and have done it often, but I caution you,  you are buying the brush handle "as is."  That is to say, if you get the brush after it has been knotted and you don't like my workmanship, appearance, feel, shape weight or color of the handle or the knot, there is absolutely nothing I can or will offer you for compensation.  It is always wise for you to take possession of the handle if you are not certain that you will like your handle.

SECTION 7: QUESTIONS CONCERNING SHIPPING

Since April 1, 2020, due to COVID-19 and shipping delays, I have been including insurance for all packages, domestic and International.  Additional filed claims and/or reports may be required as would be with any insurance claim.

Can I make the order and have a friend make the payment and have it also shipped to their home?

This can be complicated. It is best to speak directly to me as to how shipment and payment is desired. If everything seems legit, I can proceed, but signature confirmation will always be required. If it is an international order, I will only ship to the buyer, unless shipping to a forwarding service or friend from the USA with signature confirmation.

I didn't get a tracking number.  Do you have one?

Tracking is available for ALL package shipments within the USA and the tracking information is sent only to the account holder for which the purchase was made.  If you cannot find the tracking, please let me know and I can share it with the account holder who made the purchase, but never to a third party.  Again, this is to prevent fraud and theft.

How do you ship the brush?

Either USPS First Class, USPS Priority or for USA shipments, UPS is also an option if you contact me directly. Since April 1, 2020, due to COVID-19 and shipping delays, I have been including insurance for all packages, domestic and International.  Additional filed claims and/or reports may be required as would be with any insurance claim.

How do you ship international packages?

** See note below applicable only to Great Britain.

1) International packages are shipped with USPS First Class or Priority International rates with insurance included for all packages starting April 1, 2020.  The rates are $17 for First class and $35 for Priority Flat Rate.
     2) All international packages require a Custom's Declaration page. (PS Form 2976).  These pages WILL show my shaving brush as Merchandise with the description as "Shaving Brush, Synthetic Fibers only" since I never ship Badger hair outside of the USA.   It will also show the value in US dollars openly on the outside of the box.  This is 100% unavoidable as it is US law to fill out this information.  I will not place gift or declare lower values on these forms to avoid importing taxes or custom fees from foreign countries.  I value my integrity as a vital component of Wolf Whiskers.
Please do not ask me to be "Customer Friendly" or to list a lower monetary value to save on your country’s custom importing fees.   It offends me greatly to be asked to intentionally violate U.S. laws and your country’s laws.  It especially offends me if someone asks me to violate my integrity and risk losing everything for which I have worked hard. If you do ask me to do this, I may terminate the order without further notice as I consider the transaction corrupt and high risk and our relationship irreparable.
3) Tracking is now available for many, but not all International packages, but tracking is only as good as the people with the scanners in their hands so there is often human error with timely scans.
     4) This is most vital that all International customers understand this:  USPS will not open any claim or inquiry for lost or damaged packages for either International First Class or International Priority Flat rate packages per Publication 370, page 13 which is found at the USPS website. Because I now include third party insurance on all packages, an insurance claim can be made, but only after 45 days after the initial shipping date. This is the limitation from the insurance provider. Please gather any documentation from your country’s postal carrier or police report if theft is suspected.
     5) I only ship the packages to the address that is provided to me with the transaction.
6) Often shipment might take several weeks or even  over a month due to customs and multiple postal systems.  Due to the Coronavirus, it may take several months to receive your package depending on the impact this virus has had in your country and the customs process within your country.  Packages may be stuck in customs long periods in some countries.

** Shipping to Great Britain is now problematic since January 1, 2021. This has EVERYTHING to do with the newest VAT laws associated with Brexit. Since I will not relinquish all of my personal banking information nor my customer’s privacy information that the HMRC requires, I am unwilling to obtain the UK VAT registration number. If you sign up on my waitlist, you must procure and organize your own forwarding service. This link will give you further information. To read the actual HMRC website for yourself, go HERE

My postal deliveries are not placed in a secure location or in front of my door, what are my options?

Get delivery confirmation or have me ship your package to your work address which is also ideal especially during the holiday season. USPS, PayPal, nor any other third party insurance will cover for stolen products that are shown delivered. Signature confirmation will require the delivery person to hand it directly to you.

Can you ship Badger hair brushes outside of the USA?

No, Wolf Whiskers is defined as a Commercial entity by the Fish and Wildlife Service.  As a commercial entity, The Fish and Wildlife Service requires an inspection fee that costs more than a shaving brush for EVERY shipment that contains anything made with animal hair, even a single brush.  Wolf Whiskers cannot ship any badger hair products or import them without this fee and permit.  So, since the fee costs more than the product, international shipments of animal hair is not optional.

If you use a USA based shipping service for international shipments, how do you proceed?

Signature confirmation and insurance will be included for all packages. Keep in mind, it is the customer’s responsibility to verify whether your forwarding company CAN ship any badger hair brush overseas. The Forwarding service must adhere to Title 50, of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 14.91. They must use Form 3-177. Be aware, even though a forwarding company had shipped Badger brushes in the past, does not mean they will do this again and the responsibility falls on the customer to verify that they will ship your brush BEFORE you make a purchase and have Wolf Whiskers send the package to the forwarding service.

Should a customer decide to take a risk, despite the policy stated in the previous paragraph, and the forwarding service later refuses to ship a package, it is to the discretion of Wolf Whiskers to offer a refund minus all the unrecoverable fees and shipping associated with the initial transaction. Should a refund be offered, it would only be processed after the package is returned. It is the customer’s responsibility to contact the forwarding service to return a package to Wolf Whiskers simply because WW has no company/client relationship nor authority to do this. Once the package is shown as delivered to the shipping service, the package is considered shipped and the transaction complete.

The Forwarding Service is responsible for lost products once in their custody or lost parcels once they ship the package outside the USA. They must add any desired shipping insurance once in their custody. NO REFUNDS can be made from Wolf Whiskers for lost International packages shipped from a Forwarding Service, but a claim may be made through the forwarding service if they offer this, so order at your own risk and research and vet your forwarding service carefully. Signature confirmation is automatically included for all brushes shipped to a Forwarding Service for the customer and my protection as well.

That is my promise.  Wolf Whiskers does not and never will collect or store your credit information.  Payments are only accepted thru PayPal or Square, Zelle or ApplePay and all data protections are provided internally within their platform. Those Payment processors do, however, save your name and address information, but your credit card information is maintained safe within their platform.  They all meet or exceed Level 1 PCI Data Security Standards.

No information other than your name, address, email and or phone number will ever be requested by Wolf Whiskers LLC. I can accept payment over the phone, but honestly, I prefer one of the above payment platforms for the highest securities.

Notice to EU Individuals: this Privacy Statement and its enumerated policies are intended to comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (the “General Data Protection Regulation” or “GDPR”) and provide appropriate protection and care with respect to the treatment of your user information in accordance with the GDPR.

RETURNS & REPLACEMENTS

Returns are accepted within 7 days of the date you receive your order, i.e. your brush has been shown as delivered by USPS.  Returned items must be in their original, unused condition and sent back at your expense unless it is due to my error.  It is the responsibility of the customer to inspect your product for any unpleasing appearance and satisfaction of the color combination you requested.  Please check that the knot does not incur any loose movement within the socket.  Gently comb the knot with a wide tooth comb for loose hairs.  It is expected and completely normal to have several so, don't panic.  There are tens and tens of thousands of hair estimated between 70-90,000 just in a 24mm badger brush and more for larger knots.  Also, inspect for any obvious defects in my craftsmanship or that the colors are acceptable to your eyes.   Please know that if you apply water or shaving products or even clean your brush, you have decided to accept the quality of your brush handle.  Please inspect your shaving brush before you do this.

NOTE* If, after multiple communication attempts, (a minimum of 3 attempts during a 7 day period), I am unable to get a response concerning a completed order, I will cancel the order and sell the ordered brush to ensure my waitlist progresses and to ensure my income needs are met and secured. Since there are many reasons that hinder our ability to make contact, especially during this pandemic, an evaluation will be made to determine how or if a transaction will occur.
